Crist’s Right Hand Fan

Crist may be sweating bullets about the latest polls, however, you won’t see him sweat. What’s his secret? West Palm Beach CBS revealed today (4-13-10) that Gov. Charlie Crist travels everywhere with a fan to keep him cool during interviews.

WWCD?

WWCD? What Will Crist Do? Senator Mel Martinez announced today that he will be vacating his senate seat early. This poses a problem for Charlie Crist and possibly Rubio. Crist is in a position to name a successor to the seat that he and Marco Rubio are both running for.

More than likely, he will not name Rubio who is his primary contender in this race.

One possibility is Crist will name himself to the seat and vacate his post as Governor early. He has been campaigning so much lately, it’s not like he is doing his job in Tallahassee anyway. That is besides, the fact, that he has been taking trips to Aspen and the Hamptons to raise money from his rich liberals friends for his Florida Senate seat. And what’s the point of spending money campaigning for a seat that you can take?

Another possibility, is to appoint a political hack, someone that won’t run against him and Rubio in the election, someone like Jim Greer, to the seat to keep it warm for him.

The ball is in Charlie’s court now. Let’s just see if he plays nice.
